from what i understand content packs are for new accounts only, you cannot buy one and merge it into your already existing account. so no, don't buy a content pack, unless you want two accounts.

if all you want to do is travel, scan, hack relic/data sites and flee as soon as problems appear on d-scan, then your choice should be the Astero. except the price tag, it does everything better or on par with the covert ops exploration frigates.
